ABOUT ME
Joelle Kowalka here! By now you know I’m a videographer, photographer, and editor based in Upstate New York, but there’s a lot more to my story.
I grew up in the breathtaking Adirondack Mountains, so a love for nature, quiet moments, and meaningful connection is a big part of who I am. I’m also a person of faith, and that’s shaped not just my values, but the kinds of projects I take on. I’ve been fortunate to travel on missions trips where I helped capture the work of nonprofits through film—something that really deepened my love for purpose-driven storytelling.
My background includes a mix of freelance and agency experience. I currently work full-time as a video editor at a marketing firm, creating commercial and branded content.
Outside of that, JoKo Media has given me the chance to work on projects that are especially meaningful to me—from nonprofit videos and mission trip documentaries to weddings and events. I also enjoy incorporating animation and motion graphics into my work when it can help enhance the story.
I’m always excited to collaborate on creative projects that connect with people and carry meaning. If you’re looking for someone to help tell your story with care and intention, I’d love to connect.
